 Established in 2013, Assist-a-Pro originally launched with a mission around providing full-service administrative solutions for today’s Real Estate Professionals. Recognizing a gap in the market for scalable and affordable support, Assist-a-Pro created systems from administrative and marketing support to an entire “contract-to-close” transaction management process. Everything Assist-a-Pro provides is designed for Real Estate Agents to leverage services based on their unique business and administrative needs. 
Marisa Thompson
CEO & Co-Founder

Born in Northwest New Jersey, Marisa moved to the Sarasota area at the age of 15. As a graduate of Venice High School, she went on to earn a degree in Marketing and Human Resources from Florida Southern College. Marisa spent almost 18 years in Lakeland and 15 years as an interior designer and boutique owner. After spending years dedicating her time to her career, Marisa and her husband William decided to start a family and relocated back to Sarasota. That decision was the best one they had ever made and soon after their daughter Brighton was born.


Now with a little more time on her hands, Marisa's entrepreneurial spirit was sparked by endless conversations with her friend Keli. They found a need in the real estate community that had not been met and created a company that would set out to do so. Supporting agents when they needed it, and giving them the flexibility when they didn't. Marisa knew what it was like to work in a business that was cyclical and wished she had more options like Assist-a-Pro during her career. Having the help when she needed it the most.
